Jayanta Chakraborty is a remarkable name in the world of creative art in contemporary Bengal. Born in 1977 in Kolkata, West Bengal, he is a self skilled painter.
Jayanta’s unyielding, inherent and massive in meaningful significance. He is a dissenter in his own world challenging hitherto imposed barriers and bondage of traditional Indian stylization of ideas and contemporary form of painting.
Female character is an central part of the living universe and nature is closest to him. Jayanta in some of his recent works, recaptures this unending relationship with the soft use of timid yet bright and see-through colors.
